• The Fishbones Project

The Fishbone Project is unique in that fishbone meal was used to clean up the soil in a lead contaminated neighborhood in West Oakland, CA.

There is No Better Time for Us To Clean Up Our Environment Than Right Now.

“There is no doubt in my mind that now is the most critical time for us to step forward and clean up our planet. And I’m excited to invite you to join me now in a new project, one in which scientists have made an interesting discovery. You see, it turns out that waste from the sea can be used to cleanup waste on the land.”

The Global Olive Wreath Project

The Greeks considered the olive tree as the most valued gift to humankind, a symbol of peace, sustenance and life.

In honor of the homecoming of the Olympic Games to Greece for the XXVIII Olympiad, the Athens Environmental Foundation created the “Global Olive Wreath” project. This project was a massive international effort to plant a Global Olive Wreath on earth as a living legacy of peaceful dedication to the Ancient Greek Olympic ideals as well as the modern Olympic ideal of environmental responsibility.
